Knights, Princesses and Not-So-Terrible Ogres In this tale, in which you could be the knight or the princess or both (this would be a good book for two siblings, for example, in which one is the knight and one is the princess), a young boy journeys to join a famous band of brave knights. The wise princess who leads the knights tells the boy he can join their group if he proves himself wise, brave and kind. Frightened villagers call upon the knights to save them from a terrible ogre and the knight and princess must use all of their skills to do so. This is a longer story for slightly older children.

You both want to play together but the mermaid has no legs or feet and cannot play on the beach with you. You have no fins or flippers and so cannot swim under deep water to play with the mermaid. All seems hopeless. Over the course of the story, however, you and the mermaid learn that you can be friends in spite of your physical differences.
