Absalom who married Parmelia Kline was the son of Thomas twin of John. Their descendants are the ones doing the McHenry Reunion, held in the Benton, Columbia County, PA area yearly. There were too many descendants to be in with their siblings so, we made a made a book on just the descendants of Absalom. This book is book 1 and their siblings and their descendants can be found in book #2 titled Thomas McHenry 1760-1835 a soldier of the Revolutionary War.

Thomas McHenry was a soldier in the American Revolution and remained in Columbia County, PA until his death. This book is the lineage of his children John, James, Keturah, Edward, John, Susannah, Sarah, Elizabeth, Thomas, Moses and Mary. His son Absalom's information is in Book # 1 as that is the direct line of the authors and we were able to gather a large amount of information.

The West Jersey Pioneer newspaper, published in Bridgeton, New Jersey, was one of the premier newspapers in Cumberland County. The “Pioneer” in its life under preceeding titles, actually started on September 2, 1846 as the West Jersey Telegraph and General Advertiser. It published fifty-two issues from September 2, 1846 and ceased operations on August 25, 1847. It then became The West Jersey Telegraph and Cumberland and Cape May Advertiser.
