This first volume contains many of Sergei Bortkeiwicz's early and beautiful piano works up to opus 27. His 8th etude of op. 15 is sometimes called the betrothal etude due to one of his friends finding his love who overheard him practicing the piece. Neither volume will include his several works aimed at children which is included in a separate book. Although many of his works are a challenge to any pianist, unlike some other composers, Bortkiewicz was also able to write many accessible yet beautiful pieces that lovers of piano music can enjoy at any level.

This book proposes to modernize the learning methods of the Requinto (the featured instrument of the Trío Romántico) by using tablature notation, as well as transposed chords. The chords, therefore, are arranged for the Requinto and the standard guitar. It also contains several scales in first-fret position. The playing levels are suitable for beginning to advanced levels. This book contains 48 pages and is in Spanish.

Volume One of a two volume series. Volume One contains two books. Book I: "South Carolina Lowcountry Spirituals" and Book II: "Dolfus' Lament and Other Songs." The South Carolina Lowcountry Spirituals were collected and arranged by Luke Peeples over a period of many years. All are in authentic Gullah dialect. Volume Two of the two volume set “The Collected Works of Luke Peeples,” a South Carolina Lowcountry composer. Volume Two contains Book III, “The Piano Music,” and Book IV, “Hymns and Choral Works.” Book III has 5 original piano pieces, and 3 piano arrangements, 2 of which are Negro Spirituals. This score is the result of a yearlong project undertaken by 12 composer members of C3LA: Contemporary Choral Collective of Los Angeles to create a live a cappella score for Jean Epstein’s 1928 surreal silent film adaptation, La Chute de la Maison Usher (The Fall of the House of Usher).
