This is an excellent instructional book for both the teacher and the student. This book will help the drum set student learn how to develop drum fills from basic rhythmic ideas from the snare drum and figures in band drum charts known as figures. The student will learn how to take rhythms learned on one surface and apply those rhythms to the complete drum set.

This book contains arrangements of two compositions by the 1980's instrumental jazz fusion band District Authority and features Red Sneakers In The Snow and Time Eliminator. The group consisted of Marshall Hughey on drums, Mark Congdon on keyboards, Paul Battista on guitar and Teo Graca on Bass. These arrangements were created by Teodor Octavio Graca.

This is the 2nd book of sheet music featuring instrumental compositions Couldn’t Tell You and Open Other End, arranged by Teodor Octavio Graca and originally written by District Authority - the Instrumental Jazz Fusion band from the 1980’s based in the Mid-Atlantic area.

Rudiments are to drummers as scales are to more tonal instruments. They are the foundation of all we play. For decades drummers were introduced to only 26 rudiments. Eventually, the number grew to 40, but I still didn’t think that was enough.
