Most of what we know of the life of Jesus comes to us from four Gospels in the New Testament, specifically, the Synoptic Gospels of Mark, Matthew, and Luke. These books present a more human, historical view of Jesus. The Gospel of John, much different, provides the view of a divine Jesus. These four Gospels are unique endeavors regarding Jesus' social situations, his loved ones, and his reactions to stress. In this study I looked at Jesus' behavior through the Synoptic Gospels, and analyzed Jesus' behavior against the field of criminology. A Cross Bearer's Deliverance is a memoir of my life beginning in poverty stricken 1950’s Danville,Virginia and chronicles my experiences as I was moved up and along the east coast growing up in Boston,Massachusetts.While constructing my story it brought forth memories I suppressed of love, betrayal, devotion and revelation shown through those closest to me. A History of Western Hills Church of Christ shares a story of how the Church of Christ developed in Texas, Bell County, and eventually in Temple, Texas. Matthew Stephen has a great interest in the health of the local church. This project was inspired by a desire to better understand our local church's history to help us better steward its future. At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, his curiosity led him to inquire how churches responded to the 1918-1919 pandemic flu. Unfortunately, little was written about the church's response to the pandemic flu. He hopes this book will provide much guidance and encouragement in dealing with future challenges.
