The names of many of the characters in the story are the neighbors and shirttail relatives I knew or heard about from my mother and her siblings. Some characters are real with fictitious names; some characters are fictitious with names of real people. I played with Sandra Rae and Mickey Wells, and Barbara Ann Bennington. This book is dedicated to my children, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. This book is written in memory of my mother who gave me life and my father for support of life. It's also written in memory of my husband for support of life. He gave me a way to deal with life. This book is written in honor of my seven children who gave me joy and meaning to it all. It is also written in honor of my grandparents who taught me to look up to people who others look down on because we're not so different after all. I thank God for the opportunity to leave this memoir of love to my family.
