Judith Aileen Mirgain Myers was born August 12, 1945 in New Brunswick, NJ and grew up in Fargo, ND. Her parents were Frank and Velma (Chase) Mirgain. Judi graduated from Fargo Central High School, attended Cottey College in Nevada, MO and earned her Bachelors’ and Masters’ degrees in Elementary Education from Moorhead State College, Moorhead, MN. She married Rollin “Rollie” Myers on January 2, 1964 in Sisseton, SD. The couple lived in Milwaukee, WI for one year, Glyndon, MN for 10 years and Pinedale, WY for 40 years. Rogers Road tells the story of three generations of Oregon farmers whose lives were shaped by the land they worked, the God they served, and the country they loved. Buddy and his family are living a wonderful life on a small ranch in New Mexico until Buddy’s father takes ill and the family is forced to sell and move to Colorado. They settle in the mile high city of Denver so Buddy’s father can be close to the military hospital. The family is forced into poverty when Buddy’s father dies and Buddy faces life as a fatherless boy. He grieves for his father and rebels against his mother. He runs the streets and forms strong relationships with other boys. They share many adventures and grew up together through the great depression.
