Emzy Clay Romans Jr. was born in Laclede County, Missouri in 1917. This is his life story including information about the 818th tank destroyer division during WWII. I researched his fathers side of the family back to his great grandfather, John Romans who was born in 1815 in Virginia. His mothers side of the family was Richard and I got back 5 generations to Samuel Richard who was born in 1787 in Pennsylvania. Included are all the photos and information I could find on his siblings and ancestors.

One thing I have wanted to do for many years is to put together a book featuring my mother Florence's stories. I want her spirit to live on through her folktales. Her stories are magical. My mother's legends have stayed with me all my life. I'm sure my brothers and sister heard the same yarns, but this book is written the way I remember them.
