The tale begins with Hans Wagner (abt.1505-1575) who was the first Wagner to arrive in the village and explores the puzzling history of his descendants up to the immigration of Michael Wagner (1822-1903) to Lake County, Illinois in 1845.

Warren R Barrett was a career US Air Force Officer. He was a glider pilot during World War II. This book describe his military career from 1939 until his retirement in 1960. He died in 2007.
