“Torn Paper and Broken Pencils” is a collection of poems and the stories behind them. The intent is to give its readers a insight peek of how her relationships and situations are processed and interpreted thru poetry. These poems are her journey thru heart ache, understanding and healing. Some stories you just can’t make up and by admitting and inviting the raw truth into her life, she began to put torn papers and broken pencils back together.

Back in 1972, international travel was not nearly as common as it is today, especially for young people. But I was chosen to chaperone and speak for a Youth for Christ evangelistic singing team, The Mighty Wind, as they traveled overseas for a few months. We sang and spoke to a couple hundred thousand people of all ages in schools, colleges, churches, open air and in other facilities. This is an account of the highlights and trials of 6 young folks performing and living together under a stressful schedule.

I served as a young 26 year old chaperone on the tour and spoke to thousands of people about the undeserved gift Christ offers us.
