Book Synopsis
Learning is repeatedly confused with education, which is, in fact, only a part of the entire learning experience in one’s life. Knowledge is a continual process which entails learning to live, to socialize and to conduct oneself properly. Not all learning that we cosset in is intentional. We learn many things instinctively. Learning begins at birth when we discover how to breathe and feed; then, we learn to walk and talk. As we mature, we learn newer and unique things, which enable us to live every day and continuously develop as a person.
The only limit to your ability to learn is your belief of how much you know. When you think you know everything on a subject you will not invest the time to explore it further. Conversely, when you invest the time to research an issue and realize how little you know on that topic, most likely you want to learn more and you will spend time learning more. A popular belief that empowers people to learn continually is that there is unlimited knowledge available to you through other people and you can learn something new from every person you encounter. It is especially true when people have opposing views; these people have a point of view or knowledge that could enable you to grow.
