I just read this book today Sept 20, 2020. I found it a great read. It was exciting and kept me captivated. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I can't wait to read the next in the series. Paranormal murder mystery in not my normal read, however I may need to re-look at things and revise my opinions. I would recommend this to everyone.

My wife just finished it today, Sept 23, 2020 and SHE LOVED IT!!!!! Can't wait to read the next one.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, from start to finish! This book had well-developed characters (very important!) and a great story line. It grabbed my attention and never let go. I've already ordered "Tom's Surprise" and I can't wait to get it!

An effective thriller with creepy supernatural overtones. The author skillfully melds the police detective genre with the paranormal, so you have hard-boiled, grizzled detectives forced to throw away decades of experience in forensic science and reluctantly put their trust in a caretaker at a cemetery who claims to be able to speak with the dead. A young girl's life is on the line, and time is running out. Will the cops make the right call, or is the caretaker actually in on the crime, and leading the police on a wild goose chase?
You'll have to read "Tom's Gift" to find out. You won't be disappointed you did; it's a well-paced novel, with believable characters you root for, even when their agendas are at cross-purposes. "Tom's Gift" is a terrific debut from author Karen Plautz, and there's every reason to believe that her series of "Tom's" novels will continue to get more intriguing and clever. This will be a tough opening act to top, but she certainly displays the writing skills to be able to do so. I'm looking forward to "Tom's Friends." Well done, Karen Plautz.
