Book Synopsis
Last book of 3:Pumpkin and Abby get a little time off together as they are both recovering from a surgery they had done the same week. Abby already isn't thrilled about junior high & when she goes back to school after healing from getting her tonsils out, things seem to have only gotten worse at Jefferson Middle School. Abby returns to school feeling insecure that her best friend has new friends, the class clown wants to be her friend, and the mystery boy in the grade above her also wants to be Abby's friend. However, once Abby finds out who the mystery boy is, Abby is uncertain if he really wants to be her friend or if he's pretending and is actually an enemy. Abby also receives a mystery admiration note in her locker which adds more missing pieces to the puzzle. When Pumpkin sees the note, Pumpkin shows Abby she doesn't like the note. Abby finds out during this journey that things aren't always as they seema and is amazed when the truth gets revealed at the annual talent show.

Note from Nicole: As I've said before, what started out as a booklet to make for my daughters & granddaughters turned into a book series filled with memories, fun, laughter, suspense, and great messages I was taught. Athens was my mom's maiden name, and my favorite aunt's last name, who was the one and only, Auntie Lilly. This book is in memory of my parents, Norbert and Helen Engbarth, who were AMAZING parents. I never had a sister like in the stories, but I had a best friend who was as close as a sister. I can honestly say junior high was like the Tale of Two Cities, “the best of times and the worst of times” filled with suspense. I also included some of my memories of raising my girls as they always kept me on my toes. The series all came together very well and the fourth & last book has some more memories of mine, but is more my husband's story. All four books are based on true events. Events means some of it is true, and some things I added to keep readers on their toes. Enjoy!
