We used this curriculum in my classroom last year and the students loved it! There are definitions for each emotion. They place inside a context as an example of expression. The students enjoyed the beautiful illustrations and brainstorming a context related to the emotion. It gives them a chance to express creativity and be artistic. They look up different forms of media on the emotional theme. This gives them a hands on approach to understanding context. The Think About It sections help guide the process and offer insight as for thinking deeply about the content. The author provides examples of journal entries on the emotional theme. This also helps guide the process. Integrating zoological and earth science concepts is brilliant. I highly recommend this curriculum to educators as it has enhanced the climate inside my classroom.
