The book was intriguing; I never wanted to put it down. The characters, the story itself, and everything else came together, and I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. Towards the end I was sure I knew what was coming, when in reality, I had no idea. The change in perspective from Allegro's studio and teachers to the Sterling Academy was one of my favorite parts of the book. The shock that both Jennifer and Kris would be dancing the same variation after all, stunned me into silence. It is stories like this, that truly makes you appreciate a writer's ability to make the reader feel like they're a part of the story. -S.P.

Kris, a young, aspiring ballet dancer, with a lack of confidence from a school with tattered edges is about to enter into a major competition. She is to compete against Jennifer, a student from the glowing Sterling Ballet School. A ballet school where everyone wears expensive costumes and follows attentively behind the famous ballet dancer, Emma Sterling. Kris has to dig down deep to find within herself the answer that will make herself overcome her obstacles and reign victoriously at the competition. Through her struggles what does she discover that gives her the edge, that moment of the epiphany? Oh, but you have to read the book to find out. The book weaves in and out of the past love of two older major ballet dancers, their interactions with the young dancers and into the reconciliation of their past love. Their reconciliation made possible from what they learned from the young dancers.

A well written novel with good guys and not so good guys that struggle with increasing intensity to be their best. A must read for young and old alike. Mr. Kokich underlying theme of owning the moment and grasping the art glows throughout the piece.
