About The Author
About the Author:
Bill Rischard was raised in Pawnee, Oklahoma and attended Oklahoma A&M college receiving a mechanical engineering degree in petroleum option. He later worked for various companies as a pipeline engineer and received the “Pipeliner of the Year” award from the Tulsa Pipeliner’s Club. While working in Louisiana, Mr. Rischard wrote a book titled “Pelican Pipeline” about a project engineer building a pipeline in the swamps of Louisiana. This book is a primer for potential pipeline project engineers on what needs to be considered when building pipelines.
Mr. Rischard, having lived with the Pawnees and listened to the stories of his grandfather who was a Pawnee Indian Agent, decided to write this book to keep this information in print. In addition, he did many hours of research out of newspapers and other sources to provide the information on treaties, customs, and history of the Pawnees. This book is a testament to over ten years of his hard work.
