Book Synopsis
Do you feel as if you don't have time to focus on what really matters in schools?
Are you feeling there is limited time to focus on relationships and school culture?
Do you believe the bureaucracy of the “job” is winning?

As school leaders, teacher leaders and educators, we often get caught up with managerial and immediate issues of the day, causing us to lose focus on the “main things.” This planner helps you prioritize what really matters, strategize overcoming challenges and reflect on your learning. Focus, reflect and commit to your priorities every day, week and month. Identifying key communication partners, questions, reflections, celebrations with reminders help you frame goals and track progress. Included in this planner are vignettes and questions to assist you with planning meaningful professional learning for educators.

This is so useful as you can begin any day, any month at any time of the year. The reflection questions are helpful with planning and fine tuning one's practice. If you are looking to improve the culture of your school or organization, this is for you. Attention to diversity is key with this journal. This is an inspiration gift that superintendents or principals could give to their teams!

Love the open-ended layout of this journal and reflection tool! I can be creative and still write and draw. Thought provoking questions.

I like the space to track priorities, list key partners and stakeholders, and make notes for steps in my progress. It is perfect that I can start any time and create my own calendar! The scenarios speak directly to diversity and people's strengths and are easily transferable to daily life, any career and not just for schools. I love that as it serves as a catalyst for great discussions and reflections of my own thinking.

Excellent tool for journaling and reflecting on others' perspectives as well as my own. Scenarios made me stop and think about how we treat people in the world and how we create inclusive environments. Once an educator years ago, this organizer is not "just" for school based personnel. The equity and culture questions are pertinent for all of us and "being present" is a key focus. The bibliography is expansive and includes great works that are relevant for society right now.
