Book Synopsis
Three Native America historical fiction short stories tell about life on the Otto farm in Pilot Township, Cherokee County, Iowa. A memoir of a German immigrant Otto family follows. Based on archaic and Mill Creek archaeological sites, research of Dakota Sioux life, and childhood life on the farm, tales of tragedy, family life, religion, agriculture and hunting on this home place deepens love and respect for your own home place. The Otto organic farm continues ecology of the earth and conservation of nature and soil practiced by previous residents. Faith of each spiritually discerning family from the beginning of time shows through the tragic tales.
