"In 'Loquat's Way' satirist and humorist Tony Arnold takes a break from the social criticism long enough to paint a loving portrait of a near-vanished species, in short tales told just for the young, as well as the young-at-heart. Never condescending, he presents a very real fictional world to the reader in a gentle, sophisticated and noble tone. Highly prized in our collection." --Immoderate Living Magazine

"Dr. Rangoon takes you where the winds blow. He has done what we all should do--what the stuffed-shirt leaders of all the worlds' countries should do--the warmongers and the priveleged of the world--the conservative and the liberal, the whites, the blacks, the yellows and the browns---what they all should do---and when you read White Devil books you will know that you should do it too--to get up off your ass, put away all of your material possessions and playthings, walk out the door, abandon your cozy little nest, exit your comfort zone, leave your family, flag and country behind and, before its too late, step out into the bright light and rarefied atmosphere of a world larger and grander than you ever imagined--a world filled with mind-blowing mysteries--a world of endless possibilities that will make of you, in the end, an incurable vagabond, as it did Von Hesselbrut. Until you do get up off your ass, the White Devils will do the hard lifting for you. In his books Dr. Rangoon will take you here, there and everywhere--tantalizing and mesmerizing you with his tales of the unimaginable and the improbable---until you yourself become also the White Devil--and are, all of a sudden, mysteriously missing from a staid world of mediocrity and ignorance." -- Turnip Cultivator's Journal
