Conclusion Summary:
Study results support that the most optimal faucet profile is one that utilizes an annulus, of which the internal and external geometries are both circular. It was also observed that the average laminar efficiency of a faucet increased dramatically as the internal radius approached the external radius. Hence, it can be concluded that the larger the internal radius is, the more laminar efficient it becomes. This signifies a positive correlation between the size of the internal radius and its associated average laminar efficiency. Thus, it was determined that an annular pipe of circular internal and external geometry is more optimized for water usage and health concerns as compared to standard aerated or laminar faucets currently in the market.
