Book Synopsis
This exhibition is curated by CSU, Chico professor Corey Sparks with his Engl. 276, Early British Literature class.
Under the direction of Dr. Corey Sparks, Imagining the Past is a collaborative cross discipline exhibition resulting from last spring’s English 276 Early British Literature class’s exploration of how contemporary prints might resonate imagistically through historic literature’s communicative devices. By the use of image-based analysis reflected by the investigation of historic assumptions and associations, the multi-stage writing projects sought to find personal relevance to the past with additional research that could probe the relevance of history, geography, theme, formal theory and authorial voice in developing the curatorial exhibition text.
