Book Synopsis
CPAP/BiLevel therapy is probably one of the biggest improvements in EMS care in the last 15 years. Positive pressure therapy has reduced the number of intubations, reduced length of stay as well as lowering the cost of healthcare. CPAP is standard of care for respiratory distress and it should be a crime if it's not used and a shame if it's not used correctly. This book is a useful guide on the proper application of CPAP/BiLevel therapy and should be used to improve patient care for better outcomes.
