Book Synopsis
Set in the late 2050s, decades after the USA has split into three separate nations. Eve lives in Mississippi, part of the Christian-governed Free States of America. Only her and a handful of other girls have resisted the pressure to stop academics before high school. Most go to "Ladies School" instead where they learn how to be a good wife and mother as the bible prescribes. With her brother destined for greatness, Eve needs to make her mark somehow. Evangelism is seen as God's work so saving sinners from the godless immorality in the United States would definitely turn some heads. Then there's the Secular States in New England. The Christian Coalition government is sure to sensor whatever unknown debauchery may be happening there. Whatever's happening, it's definitely too hostile for a missionary to go, especially a girl.

Also, here's a picture of the author and editor in Yosemite. Steve, the author, is just alright. Pretty much everyone likes Ana, the editor more and agrees she has far more redeeming qualities. They both love the outdoors and work together at a nature school in Massachusetts.
