Book Synopsis
John McHenry son of Daniel and Mary (Stevens) McHenry was baptized in Goshen, New York and died at age 5 of BURNS after they moved to Northumberland County, PA and MAYBE buried with his grandfather at the Chillisquaque Cemetery. There were 3 Chillisquaque cemeteries in that area, the records of the third one St. Vincent's just came to light recently when they started working on the bypass 2 miles outside of Milton.
Benjamin McHenry was the second son of Daniel and was baptized at Goshen, New York and married Betsy Rhone and they had five children. He was a lumberman and raftsman taking rafts of timber down Fishingcreek to tidewater at Port Deposit, MD. During one trip he was stricken with yellow fever and his body was dropped into the river.
Word was received by the family that Benjamin had died alone in a cabin on the river's edge.
