Book Synopsis
First, there was an open door …with what I could only describe as …pure white light flooding out from it. The door looked to be a gateway into a gigantic black wall; a wall which went up straight into the air for as far as the eye could see and outwardly into the internal void on both side. The black wall was massive and the door seemed to be the only way through it, like a portal pouring out light into the dark abyss.
…I felt my body shake uncontrollably as I looked over at what was standing next to the door of light, seemingly guarding its entrance way.
I was like a kid watching a scary movie. My mind tried to register what it was I was seeing. …It looked like a man, I thought to myself. But I couldn’t help but feel this sick feeling down deep in my stomach as I realized …it wasn’t a man. Nevertheless, that was the only way to describe the creature I was looking at beside the door.
It was shining pure as snow on a bright sunny day, with a pearl-like glow twinkling over the edges of its body. And it was huge! I’d never seen anything that big before. Maybe it’s a giant, I tried to convince myself.
I could see that the creature was holding some kind of open book in its hand.
