Book Synopsis
A verse by verse Commentary on the Books of 1 & 2 Thessalonians

It is likely that these two epistles to the Thessalonian church were the earliest of the apostle Paul's writings. They were written from the city of Corinth in A.D. 50 or 51.
The founding of this church is recorded in Acts 17:1-10. It was established during Paul’s second missionary trip. His companions on this journey were Silas and Timothy. Even though Paul and his preaching companions only ministered in Thessalonica for approximately three weeks (Acts 17:2), yet a strong and vibrant church emerged from their time spent there. Thessalonica was the capital and largest city of the Roman province in Macedonia.
