Susan’s desire to share what she has learned about her family history with her children and grandchildren has evolved into easy-to-read scrapbook-designed booklets. These booklets invite the reader to sit back and enjoy quick facts intermingled with historically relevant details. “By the Rivers of Babylon” begins with a fascinating story about Susan’s Huguenot ancestor, Catherine Blanchan. Thirteen generations are highlighted which brings the reader to Susan’s father, Bob R Davis. The reader is taken on a tour of American history; visiting the Revolutionary War and the Civil War, while learning family values that have been passed down from one generation to the next.
Pedigree charts and a bibliography are included at the end of this booklet as a tool for those that want to discover more information about the descendants of Catherine Blanchan.

About The Author
Susan Davis Faulkner is a genealogist and historian. Not only does she enjoy the hunt for information, but she also enjoys telling people how they can enjoy their own hunt. Susan has authored other genealogy booklets including “What’s Your Name? Who’s Your Daddy?” which was an exploration of her mother’s birth family lineage. Some of her presentation titles include “Grandma Was a Pig Farmer – A Study of the NonPopulation Schedules to the United States Census” and “The History of Vital Records in the United States of America.” When she is not authoring books or giving genealogy presentations she is traveling with her husband. At home she enjoys playing with her grand-girls Nova, Jazmyne, Kayleen, Payten, Allyxis, and Elizabeth.
