Book Synopsis
The story of a man who was out to his family and friends before he heard the word “homosexual” and grew up in a Southern culture at a time when he was accepted and the worst epithet he ever heard was “sissy”. Mr. Jones served in World War II, returning to study art and later taught art at a San Francisco Bay area high school and at the De Young Museum Art School. Living in San Francisco during the sixties and continuing his political activism to this day, Mr. Jones is a fixture in the San Francisco gay and anti-war cultures.

Selwyn Jones is a true American hero. Traditionally as a World War II veteran and also less traditionally as an artist, activist, rebel, and true American character!

This book is at times interesting, shocking, funny and sad.

The life of Mr. Selwyn Jones is one that is interesting to so many people, I'm so glad that it's on paper now!

You should read this book!
