About The Author
As a child, I can remember my grandmother, Jane Punter (also known as Mama Glennie), serving her son-in-law his meals. It was always fascinating to watch as each side was placed on the table in a separate dish, nothing touching, with the starch and the protein only mixing when he decided. Everything was arranged with impeccable, appealing precision. My desire to create food as a masterpiece was nurtured in those impressionable years. When Hurricane Irma destroyed my restaurant and my family’s bakery in 2017 but, it did not take away my love to create food. I found a place to be creative at Samaritan’s Purse kitchen in Barbuda for most of 2018 where I cooked and developed food for staff and visitors. I grew where I was planted.
