Writing poems and keeping journals since 2001, Dreana Johnson now takes you on a ten year voyage of her thoughts through her poetry. Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Johnson was surrounded by many things growing up: poverty, violence, and trauma. This motivated her not only to use the art of writing as an outlet, but also to become more than what she witnessed.
