T.R. Lazorishak (Luh-zor-shak), a Ukrainian-Slovak-American, grew up in football-crazy Hermitage, Pennsylvania. After graduating high school there, at age 18, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He spent four years in the Air Force as a Security Policeman, safeguarding vital Air Force aircraft in western Europe & in northern California during the tense Cold War of the 1980s. T.R. achieved the rank of E-5 Staff Sergeant & was honorably discharged in the 1980s. His elderly Dad, Ted, attended Game 4 of the 1948 World Series in Cleveland, watching Steve Gromek & the Indians defeat the Boston Braves.
