In Dog Years I'm Dead: Living with ALS started as a blog that Judith Kleck began writing after her diagnosis. She wrote 43 entries and had over 1200 followers when she stopped writing. The blog has since been taken down. Her husband, Joseph Powell, edited the blog and added many of her poems, some of which dealt directly with A.L.S. The blog's voice is witty and courageous, and speaks to some of the assumptions people make about someone whose speech is impaired, but her mind is not! There are meditations on the disease, mortality, disability, love, and her last visit to Paris and Patmos.
