These books were written by my maternal grandmother, Anna Mae “Annie” (Newlin) McDonnel. Grandma lived a long life; she was born in 1890 in a log house without electricity or plumbing, and she was 92 years old when she died in 1982 at the beginning of the age of personal computers.
