Healing my inner child has been a process of highs and lows. As I processed my life, I found myself retreating to writing in order to move through my emotions. Poetry gave me a space to recall dreams and express myself freely. Reflection gave me space to tell my truth. Sometimes through a catastrophic event a person’s spirit can be suspended in ambiguity for eternity. One recurring date is November 11, the day of parallelism. My recent questioning of “Normal” has found me reclaiming my desire to speak truth and healing into the world. Then during the lockdowns of 2020 poetry reintroduced itself to my life.
