Kayla Jones was a beautiful, young, 17-year-old, girl who was well known for her strong willed personality and her gorgeous red hair. Approaching her senior year of high school, she had the world in the palm of her hands. She highly anticipated turning 18 on Christmas Eve of 2010. Achieving complete independence for herself was her ultimate goal in life. However, on July 3, 2010, Kayla’s world turned completely upside down when she was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
