All men are inescapably religious. What we worship becomes our God. An inescapable concept regarding life boils down to this:
“It's not a matter of whether or not God and His Word rules in your life. It's a matter of which word of which god rules in your life.”
If the God of the Bible does not rule our lives and if His written Word does not guide us we will find some other god and some other system of guidance.
