This is a brief history (24 pages) of the village of Brogueville or Brogue Pennsylvania. It centers around two families who lived in the village. The Frederick Uffelman family settled here in the mid 1800s. Beginning in the 1940s, Max Pickel and his family made their home in the village. While researching the origins of the Pickel homestead which sat next to the General Store, a brief story of the people that that lived there emerged.

A short biography of Abraham Piersey, an early colonist in Jamestown and one of the wealthiest landowners of the Virginia Colony. Also included is a brief sketch of Piersey's father-in-law, Clement Draper, an alchemist.

The CAPT Daniel Butts book is a nine generation family lineage with family history included. There are multiple illustrations including maps, photographs and additional content boxes and an every name index with 876 names. The first four generations are a direct lineage only; from generation five on, it is a traditional genealogy with additional data about spouses as available.

The title of this book is Ancestors and Descendants Two, More Genealogy and Stories of Families from the U.S. Virgin Islands. It is a continuation of information first presented in the book entitled Ancestors and Descendants, Genealogy and stories of families from the U.S. Virgin Islands. In this book some information from the first book may be repeated with updates added. Lots of new information will be presented, along with more pictures. Additional extended families have been identified and some of their information presented. Some of the names of families mentioned in the book are: Daniel, Drummond, Millin, de Jongh, LaFrank, Wallace, Roberts, Reese, Carty, and Smith.

Ancestry research is truly fascinating, especially when it tells a story that society does not fully know.
