Book Synopsis
Ever wonder what kundalini really is and how subtle energies work within your body? This book explores how subtle energies manifest and create the mind body experience. It discusses the relationship of the chakras, nadis, prana, kundalini, koshas, and other aspects of the subtle energy system. These aspects of yoga psychology are important in understanding the transformation of consciousness through spiritual practice.
“As the kundalini rises, the conscious mind recedes into the subconscious stratum and then into the unconscious. When the mind moves from a concentrated state, Dharana, into a meditative state, or Dhyana, the mind flows freely. All thoughts and mental images are in the stream of this internalized flow. Then as the stream becomes more and more concentrated, the mind begins to enter a trance state, a state of intense absorption we call Samadhi.”
