Book Synopsis
In early 1972 Youth for Christ sponsored a singing tour of various foreign countries for the group, The Mighty Wind. I served as a young 26 year old chaperone on the tour and spoke to thousands of people about the undeserved gift Christ offers us.
One of the young women who arranged our itinerary in Brisbane, Australia was a vivacious, beach suntanned blond girl who was the assistant to the regional director of Youth for Christ. Our 10 day acquaintance during the team's time in the Brisbane area produced a telegram sent a couple weeks later from Hong Kong to this young woman asking her to marry me.
She accepted and in early 1973 flew to cold, snowy Minnesota to eventually marry this bold young man. Fifty years have come and gone and the love story has only matured. Our story is told from separate perspectives.
