There is a Tide

The author explains the single biggest factor for investment success: identifying a major trend and sticking with it. This is a quick read, but important in these times when "buy and hope" hasn't worked for a decade. I'd skip the chapter "Investing for Engineers" as it is not needed to understand how to measure the investment "tide", and the author seems to stray a bit from the subject.

This is not a book describing other money managers who use the principle of trend analysis. It presents an easy-to-understand "how to", with the exact math involved, tested results, and how to have your computer do the heavy lifting calculations. At 88 pages, there's not a lot of fluff, but hey, if it is a prudent way to make money and avoid loss, i don't care if it's one page.

A gem for every investor's library.
