Jerry Spoon joined the U.S. Navy right after Pearl Harbor and spent the entire war on this ship. You will be an eyewitness to America's first assault against the Japanese Empire at Guadalcanal, and follow Jerry's war from Tarawa through the Philippines culminating in a walk through the fire-bombed remains of Tokyo. Jerry Spoon will put you into the Pacific War not as an admiral of a fleet or the captain of a ship or even an executive officer privy to the plan of battle, but as a boy-sailor charged with doing his duty the best he could.
