Book Synopsis
Sue Ellen Allen spent seven years at Arizona's Perryville Prison. While behind bars, she underwent a mastectomy, chemo, and radiation. She also endured the death of a young cellmate, and came to realize the truth of daily emotional annihilation. It was in prison where Allen found her passion to become an advocate of criminal justice reform. The mission of ReInventing ReEntry is to educate the public about this draconian, nonproductive, and expensive system. The journey has taken her from "the big house" to the White House.
