He would discover the real story of Charlie and his 14-year-old girlfriend Caril Ann Fugate, whose family was Charlie’s second and third and fourth victims. In a small town in Georgia in 1976, an 18-year-old girl is hunted in the woods for the assault of two prominent boys who tried to molest her. The innocence of the 1950s and a young girl is resilient, not easily defeated by prejudice and darkness.
