Book Synopsis
2006, Georgetown University. Spencer Reid, Supervising Special Agent with the Behavioral Analysis Unit of the FBI is conducting a guest lecture on Sexual Sadism and Anger Excitation Offenders. He suddenly stumbles over his words, distracted by a young woman in the front row, wearing a pink ballet outfit. He missed his opportunity to talk to her after the lecture when she walked out of the classroom… and his life.
Thirteen years later, he’s meeting with the Psychology professor for whom he’ll be conducting a series of guest lectures at George Washington University during his required 30-day sabbatical from the BAU. He’s given a second chance with ‘the one who got away’.
Relationships for BAU profilers are never easy, from everything Spencer’s seen his co-workers go through, but perhaps theirs will be the one to make it.
