Book Synopsis
After researching over 160 serial killers for my "Olive Nightmare" crime fiction series, I was once asked by someone if I thought that serial killers were "born that way" or were a "product" of a bad childhood. Based on my research of serial killers, my own, personal opinion is that serial killers kill people because they LIKE to kill people. As serial killer Tommy Sells stated" It is like a drug high, you just want another and another." Of course, brain defects and traumatic events in childhood certainly aggravate the violent nature of serial killers, but I think the bottom line is stil that it is a matter of volitional choice. Presented to the reader is a semi-fictional panel discussion of all three viewpoints, backed by real medical and psychological research article quotations. I will leave it up to the reader to make his own decision.- D E Landen
