Book Synopsis
Oftentimes people ask if they could go back in time and start over again, would they change anything? I've always been taught that God doesn't make mistakes, but my childhood tragedy left me wondering "why me"quite frankly. As young adults we are oblivious to the fact that certain courses of action can change the trajectory of our entire live. For me, tragedy ultimately changed me for the better, but it didn't feel like it at the time.

With this brave, cautionary tale Roshawn Evans speaks with the ring of truth to a new generation. While acknowledging that one can be set up for difficulty at home, he encourages kids to take care in their decisions. The illustration of him behind bars, seething with fury, cuts through any denial one might have about the horror of injustice. I feel some deep gratitude for the courage of this author to so honestly tell his story. To use one’s own challenges to educate and help others is the best thing one can do with suffering.

This short book was very inspiring encouraging and remind me how people of color get single out by police and caught up in peer pressure. It also show how you can escape and deal with peer pressure as a youth. This book is all-around real to the core of our youth and how friends and society feel and think about you.

This is a very creative expression of a very tough situation for a young man who managed to stay strong through it all. Being a teenager can be hard, and along the way there will be challenges, but not everyone is brave enough to talk about them. Get your copy of Roshawn and the C.A.M.P. Speak your truth! Don't stop. That is what this book tells us! A cautionary tale while acknowledging that one can be set up -- we don't ever know what the future holds. Immaturity is a big part of decision making and that's what he need compassion around. Our youth deserves the best from others, from us, from decision makers. The horror of injustice shows through this young man's story. Big thanks to the author who so honestly shares his story despite hurt, embarrassment or judgement.

It is terrifying to share your story when you are falsely accused. The whole process is scary. Roshawn shares ihis story of justice and injustice in a way everyone could understand. I read and hear Roshawn had to become braver than ever before. Good read.

This book is absolutely insane. It was so intrigued I couldn't put it down until I finished it. This book shows the consequences of being with the wrong people especially when you're the victim of a system designed to see you fail. Roshawn I appreciate your honesty.

I'm 17 and I really enjoyed the book and the honesty of the topic some parts made me feel like I was reading out parts of my life especially when you brought up your relationship with your mother I often feel that and I'm glad I finally sat down to enjoy it. I love this and thank you for making this for people who might be dealing with the same things you dealt with.
