The United States' Apollo 11 was the first crewed mission to land on the Moon, on 20 July 1969. It is history but not accepted as the very first manned landing on the moon.
Rumors are rife that other countries tried and failed. That is speculation. Rumors were that men were lost in the efforts. No evidence has ever been found to support those ideas. But that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. It means it was never reported.
Twin planets circling the sun theories abound. How would we ever know?
We know now that it is possible and real.
