Book Synopsis
❖ Trichinosis causes fever, muscle aches and swelling around the eyes.
❖ The ordinary tapeworm is from twenty to fifty feet long.
❖ Our present hog crop may provide us with over 60,000,000 trichinae infested meals.
❖ Hot dogs are a potential source of a type of organism causing sporotrichinosis, a skin disease characterized by a string of molecules developing upward along the path of the lymphatic.
❖ Hookworms are spread to man by the consumption of pork.
❖ The pigs were actually used for two purposes, to clean up the mess, and then to be sold as pork.
❖ After reading some of the diseases spread to man by eating pork, I ask the following questions:
* Is it ethical to be arrogant about the health of people by saying “What will we do with all these diseased dead hogs?”
* What about “Mad-cow disease would it affect you?
* What about religious people who eat meat, but don't eat hog? Is it fair to them?
* The diseases spread to humans by animals
