Book Synopsis
This book was written to empower the physical education teacher, the parent, and the student with the skills to enter into a healthy lifestyle. In these economic times, more and more students are not playing mainstream sports. On top of that, the majority of these students are doing nothing at home either. So as a PE teacher, I set out to invent games that students could play in a basement, in a garage, or on a neighborhood street. Many of these games and activities can be played not only at school during physical education class but at home, the park, with a church group or just about anywhere. Also, the games and activities in this book follow and emphasize the National Physical Education Standards. With a less threatening environment, these games and activities help the less skilled student to work at their own pace but allow the higher skilled to challenge themselves.
