Book Synopsis
Overcoming Unforgiveness examines the various ways in which unforgiveness develops in an individual, such as keeping resentment in their heart, for a long period of time. Unforgiveness is illustrated as a tree, which has roots of bitterness , which are hidden , and fruits, (such as hostility, malice, anger, wrath) which are visible.
Keys are given for dealing with people who are struggling with unforgiveness.
Forgiving each other is not an option; it is a mandate given by God.
Unchecked unforgiveness causes an individual to blame others for their failures in life. They never accept or understand the wrong that they have done.
Shame and guilt usually sets in when unforgiveness goes unchecked.
God hates an unforgiving spirit...
Why? It shows disregard for what He did on the Cross.
We walk around bound by unforgiveness, and profess to those around us that we are Christians, but
we are actually living a lie...
